A beautiful day of Soap Making
Yesterday we hosted another wonderful natural soap making workshop, and it was such a pleasure to spend the day with a group of people who share a curiosity and love for natural skincare.
Our workshops are always a mix of learning, creativity, and a little bit of magic as simple ingredients transform into beautiful bars of soap. From the moment everyone arrived, there was an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation as we prepared our oils, discussed ingredients, and explored the art and science behind traditional soap making.
One of my favourite parts of teaching these classes is watching confidence grow throughout the day. Many people arrive feeling a little nervous about working with soap making for the first time, but by the end of the course everyone has created their own batch of natural soap and discovered that it is far more approachable than they expected.
We spent time discussing the importance of high-quality ingredients, the role of different oils, and how natural additives can enhance both the performance and beauty of a soap bar. There is always something special about seeing people realise that they can create products for their families that are both natural and effective.
Of course, no soap class is complete without a bit of fun and creativity. There were wonderful aromas, and plenty of laughter along the way.
Workshops like these remind me why I started teaching soap making in the first place — sharing knowledge, encouraging creativity, and helping people reconnect with traditional skills.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us. I can’t wait to see how your soap making journeys continue.
